Skin care will always be a part of my daily routine, but when using makeup, I can’t live without having some pop of color added to my eyes. I used to be very self-conscious about my skin so the one item I used to not be able to leave the house without was foundation. I would cake it on so I could cover up my acne as best as I could.

Now that my skin has gotten much better over the years, my eyelashes are my favorite thing to do. I used to get my eyelashes done twice a month and I was obsessed with them. They look gorgeous and when I have really good skin, I don’t have to do too much to get ready. However, I recently became allergic to hydroxymethyl methacrylate which is in the bonding glue and in many nail products, so I had to switch to a glue that was ultra-sensitive without the methacrylates in there. I switched to using Beauty Garde-Hypoallergenic Lash Glue, that has an acrylates copolymer that allows for the fake eyelash to bind. This glue left no irritation and my eyelashes look just as good as what they used to be!! For everyone else that does not want to get fake eyelashes put on and is just looking for a good mascara; my favorite mascara is Liquid Lash Extensions from Thrive cosmetics. This mascara extends your lashes dramatically unlike any other mascara that I have used. And this can be both a downfall and positive trait to the mascara but it comes off very easy under water and just a little motion and no smearing! Makes for a great and easy clean up but makes it difficult when you’re out in the ocean or doing any water activities.

Either way, I love making my eyelashes pop, so either having my fake lashes or mascaras is a must! I feel like I am ready to take on my day and be a girl boss.
